Welcome to No Forced March!

Tired of feeling rushed on your vacation or trip? Are you wondering  what great things you’ve missed as you’ve focused only on your final destination? Well, this might be a place that can help you explore all your travel possibilities.

We’re a destination for those ready to slow down and really experience the joy of travel. We’re retired, but you don’t have to be. You just need to embrace to idea of slowing down and experiencing the places and things along your route.

Growing up we shared similar vacation experiences. With limited time available our parents would load the family up in the car or RV and rush to get to our final destination with stops only for fuel, food and restroom. IT was a mindset of let’s hurry up and get there so we can have fun. Fast forward to the trips with our young family. Vacation time was limited so when the planets aligned to get away we did what we knew, load up and hurry up so we can have fun.

Now that the kids re grown and have families of their own we have been trying to learn to slow don and enjoy the journey. It’s hard. In October 2022 we did the longest road trip we had ever done. 5800 miles over 30 days. Parts of the trip were fantastic, others…not so much. We’ll be sharing our lessons learned in future posts.

So, join us on our journey. We’ll be sharing our ideas and experiences. Hopefully along the way learn some things from our readers.
